
Brookfield buys Lampe Equity Management
Global alternatives manager Brookfield Asset Management has acquired German investor Lampe Equity Management (LEM) from Bankhaus Lampe for an undisclosed sum.
The group manages a portfolio of various renewable funds and other assets totalling €1.3bn.
In recent years LEM has structured projects in the areas of renewable energy, energy infrastructure, private equity and mezzanine financing, according to its website.
The 40 LEM employees based in Hamburg will join Brookfield but will retain their original brand and investment focus.
Brookfield is a global asset manager with $265bn under management across the real estate, infrastructure, renewable power and private equity asset classes.
