Wheb appoints new Munich-based partner
Wheb Partners has appointed Florian Strehle as a partner in its Munich office.
Strehle will work on deal origination and portfolio management alongside the firm's other Munich-based partners, Jörg Sperling and Alex Domin.
Prior to joining Wheb, Strehle spent six years with Auctus Capital Partners, leaving his position as a member of the management board in April this year. He also had a two-year stint at 3i as an associate in the firm's technology investment team.
Strehle studied for a master's degree in mechanical engineering at Technische Universität in Munich and has a PhD in mathematics and natural sciences from Leiden University in the Netherlands.
Wheb is currently raising funds for Green Growth Fund 2, a 2013 vintage vehicle with a €200m target. The fund has already invested in one German company, taking a significant stake in a Stuttgart-based producer of carbon fibre composite material components, UBC, in February.
