
High-Tech Gründerfonds et al. invest $2m in C2Call
High-Tech Gründerfonds, Draper Investment Company and a private investor have backed German voice-over-IP specialist C2Call with a $2m series-A round of funding.
C2Call will use the funds to expand internationally. The investors were convinced by the company's solution, and are confident in its ability to successfully enter new markets in the future.
Founded in 2008, C2Call is a voice-over-IP specialist based in Werl, Germany. Its main product is FriendCaller, which allows users to make free internet phone calls via a regular web browser, with no additional software or registration required.
C2Call has generated more than $2m in revenues since April 2010 and has more than 900,000 users to date.
