PE-backed Rad-x bolts on Acura
Gilde Healthcare-backed French diagnostic imaging business Rad-x has acquired German hospital therapies provider Acura Kliniken Rheinland-Pfalz.
Rad-x purchased its stake in the business from the German holding company AccoMeda Holding. As part of the deal, Acura's management team will remain in their current roles and will take a stake in the business.
The deal marks the second bolt-on acquisition for the French company, backed by Dutch healthcare-focused private equity investor Gilde.
In January 2017, Rad-x acquired its Swiss competitor IRD. The company also intends to further its international expansion across the European market through additional acquisitions.
Company
Headquartered in Bad Kreuznach, Acura provides hospital rehabilitation services. The company was founded in 1950 and in 2012 was acquired by AccoMeda. Currently it employs a staff of 250.
