HTGF and MBG back €720,000 seed round for Stimos
High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and MBG Baden-Württemberg have backed a €720,000 seed round for Konstanz-based biotechnology company Stimos.
The company has identified a need for better implant procedure as 140,000 dental implants, 16,000 hip replacements, 26,000 artificial knees and 40% of all spine surgeries in Germany are unsuccessful.
HTGF said that the technology developed by Stimos addresses a problem that affects both patients and the health economy.
Company
Founded in 2015 by doctors from the University of Konstanz, Stimos develops a biochemical procedure that initiates early and healthy bone formation in implants. It also offers product development and certification services.
