ECM-backed Wieners + Wieners acquires BVIW
ECM Equity Capital Management-backed language services provider Wieners + Wieners has acquired communications company Burton Van Iersel & Whitney (BVIW).
The company's managing director, Anton Van Iersel will, continue to lead BVIW.
ECM acquired Wieners + Wieners in 2016, drawing equity from its German Equity Partners IV fund, which closed on €230m in 2012. The firm is following a buy-and-build strategy for the company, acquiring translation provider Apostroph in 2017.
