Axel Springer Ventures, Softbank in €44m Goggo round
Softbank and Axel Springer Digital Ventures have together backed a €44m series-A round for Berlin-based Goggo Network.
The startup is currently seeking licences from European governments for operating autonomous vehicles, according to website frenchweb.fr. France, Germany and Spain should be the first geographies targeted by the startup, the Spanish publication El Pais reported.
The business does not yet generate revenues at this stage, Unquote understands.
Axel Springer Digital Ventures took part in the round for Netherlands-based electric scooter business Dott earlier this year.
Softbank is currently fundraising for its SoftBank Vision Fund II, which has a $108bn target.
