IK-backed Schema buys software provider Docware
Nürnberg-based documentation management software provider Schema Group, a portfolio company of IK Investment Partners, has fully acquired catalogues software developer Docware.
With this acquisition, Schema plans to expand its portfolio as a provider of content lifecycle management software and further consolidate its market position across Germany.
The combined group expects to increase its turnover, enlarge its customer base to 1,000 clients across 25 countries and reach a staff of more than 250 employees.
This add-on follows the deal for catalogues software provider Tid Informatik, which was fully acquired by Schema in May 2019, by expanding its previous 27% shareholding in the company to 100%.
IK acquired Schema in November 2018 by deploying capital from IK Small Cap II, a €550m fund targeting buyouts of northern European companies with an enterprise value of less than €100m.
Company
Established in 1987 and based in Fürth, Docware is a developer of software for spare parts catalogues. The company also provides process optimisation, software development, implementation, integration, technical support and customised software.
