Evli leads $17m series-A for Refurbed
Finnish private equity firm Evli Growth Partners has led a $17m series-A funding round for Refurbed, a marketplace for refurbished electronics.
The round also saw participation from US-based Almaz Capital and FJ Labs, as well as Spanish firms Bonsai Partners and All Iron Ventures. Existing investors Klaus Hofbauer and Inventure Partners also participated.
The company plans to expand to additional European markets and to reach $100m in gross merchandising value (GMV) in 2020.
Previous funding
In August 2017, Speedinvest and Pioneers Ventures invested an undisclosed amount in Refurbed.
Subsequently, Inventure led a €2m seed funding round for the company. Existing and new investors, including VC Atomico, Speedinvest and Pioneers, also participated.

Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Wien, Refurbed is an online marketplace for refurbished electronic devices. The company operates in Germany, Austria, Italy and Poland, serving 150,000 customers. Refurbed claims that its sales grew fivefold in 2019, while the company posted more than $45m in GMV. It has 38 employees, according to LinkedIn.
