Findos exits Karriere Tutor to Trill Impact
German GP Findos has sold local digital training provider Karriere Tutor to Swedish impact fund Trill just a year after it invested in the asset.
Findos wanted to capitalise on the rapid growth of the asset and momentum in the online education space, reported Unquote's sister publication Mergermarket.
Karriere Tutor had EUR 11m EBITDA in 2021, up from around EUR 4m-EUR 6m in the year before, as reported.
The asset employs around 150 people and offers 800 certified online courses for state-subsidised training for jobseekers. Trill said that the company had trained 15,000 people.
Trill said it will expand the company's digital course offering for government-funded professional training, alongside the founder Oliver Herbig.
The GP also wants to improve the accessibility of the courses.
It is the fifth deal under Trill Impact, a debut impact fund that closed in 3Q21 at EUR 900m. The fund deploys tickets of EUR 25m to EUR 125m and will aim to make 10 to 12 investments in total.
Trill said that the company makes a contribution to two UN Sustainable Development Goals. These are SDG 4.4: Increase the number of people who have relevant skills, including technical and vocational skills - and SDG 8.5: Full and productive employment and decent work for all women and men.
The GP also recently filed its debut venture fund, reported Unquote.
