
BayBG backs NavVis
Munich-based Bayerische Beteiligungsgesellschaft (BayBG) has invested growth capital in mapping and indoor navigation system NavVis.
Venture capital firm MIG also invested alongside BayBG. The capital will be used for further development of NavVis's technology and to improve the market position of the product.
The deal is BayBG's third of the month, having already participated in a series-B funding round for online lens specialist Eyeglass24, followed by a €3m commitment to flower delivery service Miflora.
Company
NavVis is a 3D mapping and indoor navigation service, covering buildings such as airports, train stations and shopping malls. Its software can be used for fire protection, insurance and during the construction process, as well as for navigation. The company span out of the Technical University of Munich in 2013 and has around 20 employees.
