
HTGF backs Sonormed
High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and Innovationsstarter Fonds Hamburg have invested in medtech company Sonormed.
Quotas Beteiligungs and the founder of Bigpoint, Heiko Hubertz, also invested in the series-A funding round.
The fresh capital will be used for product development and further corporate expansion.
Innovationsstarter Fonds Hamburg injects up to €1m into Hamburg-based start-ups for research and development activities. It is backed by the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg and the European Regional Development Fund.
HTGF is currently investing from its €304m second vehicle. It initially commits €500,000 in seed capital and has the capacity to invest a total of €2m per portfolio company.

Founded in 2012, Hamburg-based Sonormed specialises in digital audiology for people affected by tinnitus. Sonormed's team of sound engineers, computer scientists and neurobiologists have developed the medical product Tinnitracks, which is based on tailor-made notched music training. The company has fostered a partnership with audio business Sennheiser.
