
Anterra injects €5m into LemnaTec
Dutch GP Anterra Capital has invested €5m in Aachen-based plant analysis software provider LemnaTec.
The fresh capital will be used to fund LemnaTec's international expansion – particularly in the US, where it recently opened a St Louis office. Proceeds from the round will also be used for software development.
Previous funding
Venture capital investor Deutsche Effecten und Wechsel-Beteiligungsgesellschaft (DEWB) invested €2m in LemnaTec in May 2013, securing a 43.6% stake.
Company
Founded in 1998, LemnaTec provides users with a range of research platforms and analysis software for agricultural chemistry, plant cultivation, biotechnology and pharmaceutical research. A typical installation includes camera and sensor systems, application and analysis software, high-speed data-processing components and plant handling engineering tools. It has around 30 employees.
