HTGF invests in opentabs
Venture capital investor High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) has backed Munich-based hospitality app opentabs with approximately €500,000 of growth capital.
The majority of the fresh funding will be invested in its mobile apps for iOS and Android, as well as for its backend systems. It will also make new hires to its developer team.
HTGF has two funds under management: its €272m HTGF I vehicle and its €304m HTGF II fund. It usually invests €500,000 at the seed stage and will invest up to €1.5m in follow-on financing. Investors including Deutsche Telekom, Bayer and Tengelmann have made commitments to the fund.
Company
Founded in January 2012 by Dirk Röder, Nicolas Plögert and Sebastian Heise, the opentabs app allows customers to order and pay for their food or coffee in advance and go straight to collection. Its customers across the German-speaking region include the San Francisco Coffee Company and Asia Gourmet.
