Index and Global Founders back Homebell
Index Ventures, Global Founders Capital and a third unnamed investor have backed Homebell, a Berlin-based platform for craftsmen.
The company plans to improve its technology following the funding round, the amount of which was not disclosed.
Index and Global Founders previously teamed up, alongside Project A, to invest an estimated €10m in Pets Deli, which produces natural and fresh pet food. unquote" took a closer look at the investment in this month's Deal in Focus.
Homebell founder Felix Swoboda previously founded Mobile Event Guide, which develops mobile phone software and mobile websites for conferences and trade shows. He sold the company to WestTech Ventures at the end of 2015 and it went into administration shortly after.

Founded in 2015 and based in Berlin, Homebell is a platform for booking painters, decorators and other handymen. After placing their request on the homepage, customers are then contacted directly by tradesmen via telephone.
