Creathor Ventures backs Toroleo
Creathor Ventures has co-invested in online car equipment comparison platform Toroleo, a portfolio company of Project A Ventures.
Creathor typically invests in the technology sector. It usually takes the lead in its portfolio companies and holds a stake of around 30%.
The GP closed its third fund, Creathor Venture III, on €80m in October last year. The firm invests in early-stage deals in Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland and northern Europe. According to unquote" data, the GP contributed €18m to its latest fund.
The investment in Toroleo is Creathor's fourth deal this year. The venture firm invested in Roombeats last week, alongside fellow venture capital house High-Tech Gründerfonds. In July, Creathor participated in a $20m investment round for Zimory, a cloud management software business.
German tech incubator Project A Ventures was founded last year by Uwe Horstmann and Christian Weiss, former managers of Rocket Internet – a fellow incubator behind start-ups such as online fashion retailer Zalando. It is based in Berlin.

Toroleo was founded in 2012. It offers its clients an online product and price comparison service addressing the automotive sector. It currently compares the products of 34 dealers, including eBay and Amazon.
