HTGF and Hasso Plattner invest in Sablono
High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), Hasso Plattner Ventures and Nemetschek Allplan Systems have invested in Berlin-based Sablono’s series-A funding round.
The Sablono team is preparing to release controlling software Sablono Onsite, which will enable project managers and construction companies to record the progress of a building project.
HTGF stated its interest in Sablono stemmed from industry demand for the product. The GP usually invests €500,000 in the first round of funding via its second vehicle, and can up this to a maximum of €2m in future funding rounds.
Nemetschek Allplan is a Munich-based building information modelling (BIM) solutions provider. It develops software for structural and civil engineers, facility managers, architects and contractors.
Company
Founded in June 2013 in Berlin as a spinout of the Technische Universität Berlin, Sablono is a construction software start-up. It develops software solutions for the digital planning, controlling and supervision of building projects.
The aim of the software is to have all project-relevant data converging in a joint database, updated throughout the construction phase. Information regarding changes or delays can then be made available to all project partners in real time and the progress of a building project can be analysed and supervised in detail.

Felix Enge is the CEO of Sablono and one of the company's co-founders alongside Lukas Olbrich, Sven Richter and Florian Meichsner. Marvin Andrae is an investment manager at HTGF. Joerg Rahmer is the CEO of Nemetschek Allplan.
