Auctus closes fourth fund on €230m
German buy-and-build specialist Auctus Capital Partners has closed its oversubscribed fourth fund on €230m.
Fund IV, which was on the road for less than three months, received interest from both existing and new investors. The GP's previous fund had closed on its hard-cap of €155m in 2011, after five months of fundraising.
Founding partner Ingo Krocke stated that despite the opportunity to raise a larger fund, Auctus wanted to remain focused on the small-cap sector, which offers "really attractive investment opportunities".
The buyout house claims its portfolio companies generate combined turnover of more than €750m per year and see yearly growth of more than 10%.
Investors
The LP base comprises pension funds, insurance companies, family offices, entrepreneurs, funds-of-funds and endowments.
Investments
Fund IV will follow the strategy of its three predecessors by investing in companies with revenues of between €10–100m in German-speaking Europe.
