Activa's Alliance Etiquettes bolts on Groupe Etienne
Activa Capital portfolio company Alliance Etiquettes has acquired Groupe Etienne, its sixth add-on since Activa's investment in 2015.
Alliance Etiquettes was formed after Activa acquired labelling specialist Imprimerie Laulan in 2015 and merged it with Enes Group, which it bought later that same year.
Following the Groupe Etienne bolt-on, Alliance Etiquettes will generate a turnover of €50m and employ 300 employees. It is expected to keep growing in France and abroad as a buy-and-build platform.
Previous funding
Groupe Etienne underwent an MBI led by Eric Le Floch with the backing of Paluel-Marmont Capital in 2007. In 2011, the group was taken over by its management, backed by GPs Alliance Entreprendre, Paluel-Marmont Capital and Sodero.
Company
Headquartered in Doué-la-Fontaine and founded in 1961 by the Etienne family, Groupe Etienne is a French producer of adhesive and traditional labels for the wine industry. The group operates several facilities in France.
