
Consortium in €50m series-B for MWM
Blisce, Idinvest Partners and BPI France have led a €50m funding round for Music World Media (MWM), a France-based music application publishing company.
BPI France is currently investing from its Large Venture fund, a 2013-vintage vehicle that held a final close in September 2013 on €600m. It focuses on investing in healthcare, digital and green technology spaces companies in France.
The round also saw participation from Aglaé Ventures and Xavier Niel.
MWM’s founders will remain the majority shareholders of the company. The company will use the fresh capital to extend its app offer and to double its workforce by the end of the year.
Previous funding
In June 2011, Habert Dassault Finance injected €900,000 of pre-seed funding in the company. Subsequently, Entrepreneur Venture led a €2.5m seed round for MWM in September 2013.
In November 2016, the company raised €2.6m in a series-A funding round from XLR Capital, Martin Solveig, Marc Jalabert, Jean-Charles Carre, Habert Dassault Finance and Cassius Family, according to Crunchbase.
