
Verdane sells Exensor to Bertin Technologies
Verdane Capital has sold its 40% stake in Swedish security network provider Exensor to Paris-based Bertin Technologies.
Financial details were not disclosed. Verdane acquired its stake in Exensor in 2013 through a restructuring of the Nordic Venture Partner II fund. The portfolio comprised eight companies, including Exensor, when Verdane took over the fund.
Bertin, a subsidiary of French equipment manufacturer and industrial contractor CNIM Group, wholly acquired Exensor, as smaller historic shareholders also sold their minority stakes.
Exensor grew fourfold over the course of the investment, prompting Verdane to find a new owner that could continue the expansion, the firm told unquote”.
In the four years since acquiring Exensor, Verdane supported the internationalisation of the Europe-focused company across Asia and Australia. The company also mapped out the market for civilian use of its network security technology.

Founded in 1987, Exensor is headquartered in Lund, Sweden. It designs, develops and produces networked unattended ground sensor (UGS) systems at its production site near Basingstoke, UK. Exensor's systems are used in military, homeland security and civilian applications.
