Apax's Marlink bolts on Livewire
Apax Partners' Norwegian portfolio company Marlink Group has agreed to wholly acquire UK-based satellite communications business Livewire Connections.
The deal comes a year and a half after Apax acquired Marlink, then Airbus Group's commercial satellite communications business, for a reported value of around €450m. It also comes just one month after the company bolted on Majorca-based OmniAccess.
Following the deal, the consolidated group will have revenues of around $500m and a headcount of around 1,000.
The transaction is scheduled to complete in the coming weeks.
