LSP in $50m series-A for Snipr Biome
Lundbeckfonden Emerge and Life Sciences Partners (LSP) have co-led a $50m series-A funding round for Copenhagen-based biotechnology company Snipr Biome.
Copenhagen-based North-East Family Office and Munich-based VC Wellington Partners also joined the round.
LSP had a first close on its Life Sciences Partners VI fund on €410m in November 2018.
Lundbeckfonden Emerge is part of an industrial foundation with a market value of around $10bn.
The fresh capital will be used to develop the company's technology platform and its first clinical programmes.
Previous funding
Lundbeckfonden Emerge, which is the early-stage investment arm of the Lundbeck Foundation, invested an undisclosed sum in an exploratory investment in 2017.

Snipr Biome is a biotechnology company that is developing the use of CRISPR technology to eradicate target bacteria while leaving the rest of a patient's microbial community intact. The company employs approximately 20 people and is based in Copenhagen.
