
Intera sells Trafotek to trade for €28m
Finnish private equity firm Intera Partners has sold electrical components supplier Trafotek to Swedish trade buyer AQ Group for €28m.
The sale ends a nine-year holding for Intera, which made the investment from the €125m Intera Fund I.
AQ's CEO said in a statement that the purpose of the acquisition was to broaden its offering in the inductive components segment.

Trafotek was founded in 1983 and is headquartered in Kaarina, Finland. It makes electronic components such as reactors, transformers and filters for industrial machinery, including wind turbines and the marine industry. It has factories in Estonia, Brazil and China, and an R&D and sales office in Germany. The company generated a 7% EBITDA margin from sales of €45m in 2018.
