
Adelis acquires majority stake in Intersport Sweden
Adelis Equity Partners has acquired a 70% stake in Intersport Sweden, a sportswear and sport equipment retailer.
The deal sees Intersport Sweden acquire 100 franchise stores to create an integrated group, with the remaining 50 franchises to continue operating as per their current agreements.
The business's existing owners will retain a 30% stake as part of the deal.
As part of its growth strategy, the company will look to focus on consolidation of the Swedish sports retail market.

Founded in 1961 and headquartered in Mölndal, near Gothenburg, Intersport Sweden is a sportswear and sport equipment retailer. The new group will comprise 100 stores, with a turnover of around SEK 3bn.
