Inveready and Start Up Navarra invest in Bionanoplus
Spanish venture capital firms Inveready Seed Capital and Start Up Navarra have invested €660,000 in a first round of financing for Bionanoplus in exchange for a significant stake in the company.
A number of public programmes focused on supporting entrepreneurship in Spain have also participated in this round. The total investment round is worth €2.1m.
Bionanoplus was founded in Pamplona and is a developer of polymeric nanoparticles and microparticles to improve the effectiveness of biologically active molecules, drugs and other molecules. The products will be applied in pharmaceutical, personal care, veterinary and food markets. Navarran European Business Innovation Centre and Start Up Capital Navarra were also involved in the seed funding.
