Candover-backed Parques Reunidos considers IPO
Candover-backed Parques Reunidos, the Spanish theme park, has turned to JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse for assistance preparing its IPO.
The theme park group has seen profits increase fivefold since it was purchased by Candover in 2007.
Today, the company has around 67 facilities in Spain and abroad, with 35% of its profits coming from the US and 30% coming from their national establishments.
Candover currently owns about 50% of Parques Reunidos capital, with a management team headed by Richard Golding controlling 20%, while British leisure group, Bourne Leisure, owns a 25% share.
