
Ardian invests in MKD
Ardian has acquired a minority stake in MKD, a Spain-based provider of maintenance, supervision and repairs to fleet vehicles.
The GP deployed capital from its Ardian Growth Fund II, which held a final close on €230m in April, surpassing its €200m target. The fund provides equity tickets in the €5-25m range to digital businesses with a turnover of €5-100m.
Company
Founded in 2014 and based in Alcobendas, near Madrid, MKD provides maintenance and repair to fleet vehicles. The company employs 250 staff, has a network of garages across Spain, and in 2017 made 400,000 repairs and generated revenues of €20m.
MKD's client base includes car rental companies such as Europcar, Alphabet, Arval, Generali and Allianz. The company has recently further extended its offering to individuals with the launch of a new platform named Reparatuchoche.com.
