Swanlaab leads $8m series-A round for Landbot
Barcelona-based chatbot builder Landbot has raised $8m in a series-A round led by Spanish-Israeli venture capital firm Swanlaab.
Spanish public agency CDTI also took part in the round, alongside existing investors Nauta Capital, Encomenda and Bankinter.
The company, which provides a "no-code" chatbot builder to websites, has so far raised $10.2m in funding since being founded in 2017.
Landbot will use the proceeds to double its team across sales, marketing and engineering. It currently has 40 staff.
The company said in a statement that the pandemic had increased the demand for its services, and that recurrent revenues were up 10x.
Previous funding
In 2018, Landbot raised $2.2m in seed funding from Nauta Capital, Encomenda and Bankinter.

Founded in 2017 and based in Barcelona, Landbot provides a "no-code" chatbot builder to companies to help them improve customer engagement on their websites. It currently has around 2,200 paying customers and 50,000 users. It has 40 staff.
