Palladio Finanziaria exits Energeya to Sungard
Palladio Finanziaria has sold Energeya, an Italy-based provider of software to the energy sector, to US trade buyer Sungard.
Following completion of the deal, Energeya will trade under the Energeya brand.
Sungard was attracted to the deal by the additional data management and forecasting Energeya's XDM software provides. It also views the transaction as an opportunity to expand its European presence.
In the two years since Palladio Finanziaria's investment, Energeya has agreed contracts with EDF Group's Edison, Italian natural gas shipper 2B Energia, Belgian shipping company European Energy Pooling and Italy-based Meta Energia.

Company
Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Monza, near Milan, Energeya provides software to the European gas and power industries. The business has additional offices in Cagliari, Rome, London, Florida, and Groningen in the Netherlands.
