Nazca acquires majority stake in El Granero Integral
Spanish mid-market player Nazca Capital has acquired a majority stake in El Granero Integral, a Spanish provider of natural food and dietary supplements, from the company’s founders.
Under Nazca's leadership, the business will seek to double its sales over a four-year period by investing in bolt-on acquisitions and the development of new products.
Capital for the transaction was drawn from Fund Nazca III, which held a final close on €190m in May 2010. In March 2015, Nazca acquired Europastry's bakery business and restaurant chain Taberna del Volapié through the same vehicle. The GP is currently in the process of merging the two businesses to form the Foodbox brand.
