
Riello divests C Blade to Sifco
Riello Investmenti has sold C Blade, an Italian manufacturer of turbine blades for power generation, to US trade buyer Sifco Industries.
Sifco, which operates in the aerospace and energy sectors, will expand its products into the steam turbine market as a result of the transaction.
Since Riello's investment, C Blade has adopted a lean manufacturing business model, intended to reduce costs and increase efficiency by adopting processes that eliminate waste.
The deal is anticipated to close in mid-2015.
Previous funding
Riello acquired a majority stake in C Blade via a secondary buyout from Berrier Capital in July 2008. According to unquote" data, the original deal was worth around €26m.

Headquartered in Maniago, north-eastern Italy, and founded in 1963, C Blade provides turbine blades to the energy sector. The company has a headcount of 150 and generates a turnover of $30m.
