Gruppo Bioera (Italy) - Dec 2007

Listed vehicle Cape LIVE has invested approximately €2.5m for a 3% stake of International Bar Holding Srl (IBH), a company that controls two Gruppo Bioera firms operating in the food production sector: Natfood and General Fruit. The investors have acquired shares in Bioera for a value of €500,000, while a further €500,000 will soon be invested. The backer will consider future rounds of investment in Bioera to support the group’s development.

Company

Cavriago-based Bioera SpA specialises in the production and sale of natural and organic products, including fruit juices, oils, condiments, dietary supplements and cosmetics. The company has a retail as well as a wholesale distribution network. The investment is intended to support the development of the group through acquisitions and strategic alliances with other business operators. The company has been quoted on the expansion segment since July 2005. Several exit strategies have been envisioned and the decision will be made based on the growth and development of the group.
