
Fondo Italiano invests €7.5m in Brugola
Fondo Italiano di Investimento has invested €7.5m for a minority stake in Brugola, an Italian manufacturer of components for the automotive industry.
Brugola will use the fresh capital to fund its expansion in the US, where it currently has one office.
The cash injection is the first instalment of a deal announced in December, which could see Fondo Italiano invest up to €20m in the company to support its growth strategy.
The business has also completed a refinancing, with a new debt package provided by UBI, Mediocredito and Unicredit.

Founded in 1926, Monza-headquartered Brugola produces nuts and bolts used in the assembly of motors and the fastening of automotive components. The business generates revenues of €120m and has a headcount of around 300. It has two manufacturing centres in Italy and additional operations across Europe and America.
