3i-backed Everis sold to NTT Data
Japanese IT services company NTT Data has wholly acquired Spanish business consultancy firm Everis, giving an exit to 3i, Hutton Collins, Grupo Landon and Ariadne.
The Everis transaction is valued at €559m including debt, according to the Japanese press.
The company will retain its headquarters in Spain.
Previous funding
In 2004, Everis was acquired in a management buyout from Fujitsu supported by Apax Partners, according to unquote" data. Hutton Collins backed the firm in 2006 as Apax and FManagers sold their 38.2% and 7% stakes in the firm.
In 2007, Apax and FManagers sold their combined stake of 45% to the Everis management team for around €280m. Later that year, 3i invested €44m in exchange for a minority stake in the firm; Grupo Landon also partook in the transaction. In 2008, Hutton Collins injected €31.5m into the firm to increase its stake to 10.8%, becoming the firm's third largest shareholder. The management and staff retained a 64% stake in the firm, with 3i holding 18% and Grupo Landon retaining 6%.

Founded in 1996 and based in Madrid, Everis operates in Spain, the UK, Italy, Portugal, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Argentina, Columbia and Peru. The firm designs and implements IT systems for a range of blue-chip clients in the telecoms, financial and government sectors.
The firm reported revenues of €591m in 2013 and employs more than 10,000 professionals.
