
Octopus Ventures invests £1.9m in Semafone
Octopus Ventures has invested £1.9m in UK call centre support services provider Semafone.
The new funding will be used to boost business development, both in the UK and globally.
Semafone's services enable call centre callers to provide card payment details using the telephone keypad while speaking to call centre agents. The service is designed to eleminate the need to read out card details, reducing card fraud.
The company provides services to a number of blue chip companies, including John Lewis, Argos, Specsavers and Manchester Airport.
