
Octopus Ventures invests £2m in Opex Group
Octopus Ventures has invested £2million from its £30 million Octopus Capital for Enterprise Fund into Opex Group, an exhibition and event organisers' services group.
The funding will be used to finance growth in Opex's core business, as well as fund new software development and to support new strategic partnerships.
Based in Wales and the South East, the Opex Group is a supplier of services to the event management industry. Opex supports its clients in the delivery of product launches, exhibitions, seminars, conferences and entertainment events both in the UK and across mainland Europe. Examples of annual events run by Opex include the Ideal Home Exhibition and the International Boat Show. The Group was established in 2000 by Guy Morgan.
The deal is the tenth investment from OCfE since April last year and the eleventh new investment Completed by Octopus this year.
