Octopus Ventures invests £1.5m in Money Workout
Octopus Ventures has invested £1.52m in mortgage website company Money Workout Limited.
Funds were provided by Octopus Titan VCTs 1, 2 and 3 funds, together with the Octopus Eureka EIS and the Octopus Investor Group. The funding will enable the company to further develop and grow the business.
Money Workout purchases and generates mortgage enquiries that it matches with a mortgage product in the market, taking into account the borrower’s requirements and financial circumstances, as well as the mortgage provider’s lending criteria. Money Workout operates in the new home mortgage market, which is estimated to be worth approximately £80bn in lending in 2010, equivalent to around 500,000 mortgages.
