YFM Private Equity and Acuity Capital support Connect2Media
YFM Private Equity and Acuity Capital have provided UK-based video games company Connect2Media with funding.
YFM invested through the Northwest Interim Venture Capital Fund, while incumbent investor Acuity Capital also participated in the fund raising. Acuity invested £4.5m in Connect2Media in 2008 to support the acquisition of the EMEA assets of US mobile game developer Hands-On Mobile, together with the acquisitions of Connect 2 Play - a cross-platform games publisher - and Rayfusion, an Israel-based distributor of mobile content.
The fresh funds will enable Connect2Media to expand its operations in North America following the acquisition of US business Sennari, which specialises in prize-incentivised games for mobile phones.
YFM was attracted by the company's top line and bottom line growth prospects, and believes North America presents strong market potential for future development.
