
White Star, Oxford Capital in $2m Red Sift round
White Star Capital and Oxford Capital have led a $2m funding round for London-based data analysis platform Red Sift.
The funding round, in which Entrée Capital also took part, will enable the company to invest in product development resulting from its existing beta platform.
The transaction marks the fourth investment for Oxford Capital in 2016, according to unquote" data. Most recently, the VC led a $1.75m round for fintech company Moneybox in July.
Red Sift is led by Rahul Powar and Randal Pinto, founders of data-focused app developer Apsmart and part of the original Shazam development team. Apsmart, which was backed by DN Capital, was sold to Thomson Reuters in 2012.

Founded in 2015 and headquartered in London, Red Sift is a cloud-based data analysis platform. The automated platform includes a dashboard and widgets aggregating its users' information from a variety of sources including emails, messaging channels, web applications and connected devices.
Red Sift will launch as an open platform allowing developers to interact with the service in order to produce a wide variety of applications.
