Inflexion-backed Huws Gray acquires AC Roof Trusses
Inflexion Private Equity portfolio company Huws Gray Ridgeons has acquired structural timber components maker AC Roof Trusses.
Inflexion acquired a minority stake in Huws Gray in April 2018 using its Inflexion Partnership Capital Fund I. The firm backed the merger with Ridgeons in October 2018 to double the builders' merchant's number of locations.
The acquisition was made to expand Huws Gray's existing trusses business and to use the portfolio company's branch network to distribute AC Roof Trusses' products across the UK.
The company's current management team will stay on with the business following the transaction.
Company
Established in 1982, AC Roof Trusses specialises in the design, production and supply of structural timber components. The company employs 30 people at its site in Welshpool, which includes two factories.
