BGF invests £3.1m in Renal Services
Business Growth Fund (BGF) has invested £3.1m in exchange for a minority stake in Renal Services, a UK-based dialysis services provider.
The fresh funds will enable the company to fund three new centres and provide working capital to enable the business to compete for additional contracts.
Following the deal, James Buckley will be appointed as non-executive chairman of the company. Buckley was previously CEO of Tunstall Group; non-executive director of Prism Medical; and chairman of Ark Home Healthcare and Mangar International.
BGF was attracted to the deal due to the projected increase in demand for kidney dialysis treatment in the UK, caused by an ageing population in the country.

Founded in 2007 and headquartered in London, Renal Services is a provider of dialysis services to the British National Health Service.
