BGF injects £3m into NWC
Business Growth Fund has invested £3m in UK-based window cleaning company Nationwide Window Cleaning (NWC).
The fresh capital will enable NWC to invest in new equipment and the expansion of its abseiling and specialist cleaning teams.
The GP stated it was attracted to the deal by the management team and the company's expansion over the past two years.
NWC represents the 12th investment made by BGF in northern English companies. In June, the GP invested £2.5m of growth capital into Yorkshire-based interior subcontractor Horbury Group.
Company
Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Harrogate, Yorkshire, NWC is a provider of window cleaning services to businesses including universities, hospitals and retailers. The company has a headcount of 200 and a turnover of approximately £10m. Its clients include RBS, Asda and the British Museum.
People
Neil Inskip, a senior investment manager at BGF, will take a seat on the board at NWC. BGF investment associate Sam Davies and regional director Andy Gregory also worked on the deal. Thornton Tasker is managing director of NWC. Altium managing director Stuart Lees has been appointed as non-executive chairman at NWC.
