
LDC acquires minority stake in Centiq
LDC has acquired a significant minority stake in British IT services and software provider Centiq.
Following completion of the deal, Centiq will ramp up its support services for the SAP Hana platform, an in-memory database management system. It will also seek to invest in product development and marketing activity.
As part of LDC's strategy, the company has appointed Colin Garrett as non-executive chairperson; he currently holds the same position at Sentec, Silverwing and Impero Software. It has also appointed Rob Jones, who has previously worked with LDC's Midlands team, as finance director.
LDC most recently acquired British fume extraction systems manufacturer and designer BOFA International in a management buyout worth £23m.
