3i appoints two to global IR team
UK–based private equity player 3i has made two senior appointments to its fund investor relations (FIR) team as part of its focus to further enhance its relationships with its LPs around the world.
Jennifer Dunstan, a partner in 3i's UK Buyouts team since June 2005 and head of 3i’s UK consumer sector, has now been appointed to lead the firm's London-based fund IR team and further develop 3i’s IR capabilities in Europe and Asia Pacific.
Prior to joining 3i, Dunstan spent nine years at Terra Firma and Nomura’s Principal Finance Group, where she was managing director.
Jim Rutherfurd has also been appointed partner to the FIR team and joins from Veronis Suhler Stevenson, where he was responsible for fundraising, investor relations, marketing and PR. Based in 3i’s New York office, Rutherfurd will focus on further developing 3i’s networks with new and existing institutional investors in North America, working alongside the New York-based growth capital team.
Both Dunstan and Rutherfurd will work with Paul Waller, managing partner of 3i’s global FIR team and a member of 3i’s management committee based in London.
