Evercore appoints UBS's Reid as managing director
US investment banking advisory firm Evercore Partners has appointed UBS’s Rodney Reid as managing director in its private capital group in the London office.
Reid is the latest in a series of UBS team-members to have moved to Evercore; in July last year Nigel Dawn and Nicolas Lanel were poached from UBS to run Evercore's newly launched secondaries business.
Reid, who was appointed head of European private equity secondaries at UBS in November last year, will again be responsible for advising on secondary transactions at Evercore.
He will join the firm in November, initially working in its London office before transferring to New York at a later date.
Reid has previously led secondaries transactions in North America and Europe for clients including public pensions, university endowments, banks, insurance companies, hedge funds and private equity GPs.
He spent eight years at UBS and prior to heading up the European secondaries activities was part of the firm's New York-based secondaries team.
Reid graduated from Harvard Business School in 2005, before joining Cerberus Capital Management in 2005 as associate vice president.
