Matrix makes 5x returns in Holloway partial exit
Matrix Private Equity has partially exited construction company Holloway White Allom through a recapitalisation. Together with an earlier refinancing in 2005, the deal has generated a 5x return and a minimum of 81% IRR for Matrix. The recap was supported by a £12m debt package provided by Lloyds TSB alongside a £5m investment from Matrix.
Matrix first invested in Holloway in 2004, providing £1m in funding in a management buyout. It now holds 21% of the company's shares.
