
Partners Group reshuffles leadership

Partners Group has promoted Stephan Schäli to CIO and David Layton to head of private equity in a leadership reshuffle involving nine investment professionals.

On the private equity side of the business, Stephan Schäli, currently co-head of private equity, will become chief investment officer and remain on the global executive board while his former co-head David Layton takes a seat on the executive committee.
Andreas Baumann, the firm's head of integrated investments, will take responsibility for private equity secondary and primary investments, leaving the executive committee but remaining on the global executive board.
The infrastructure and private real estate teams have also made changes, and René Biner has been promoted to chair of the global investment committee, overseeing all private markets investment activities.
Legal & transaction services head Yves Schneller has also been promoted to head of investment services and will join the global executive board.
Partners Group has more than €54bn in assets under management across private equity, real estate, infrastructure and private debt markets.
