HgCapital planning to sell SLV
Private equity house HgCapital is reported to be in negotiations to sell lighting system provider SLV.
European investors BC Partners, Cinven and Charterhouse are said to be in the second round of the sale process as well as global private equity firm Lindsay Goldberg. SLV is thought to be valued at around €400m, which is approximately 10x the company's current EBITDA. Macquarie is organising the sales process.
HgCapital acquired SLV for €320m in 2007. The lighting specialist is based in Übach-Palenberg, Germany and had a turnover of €130m in 2010.
