
EVentures leads $6.5m series-A for Asana Rebel
EVentures has led a $6.5m series-A funding round for yoga-focused fitness application developer Asana Rebel.
German VC High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and family office La Famiglia also took part in the round alongside unnamed angel investors.
HTGF senior investment manager Chiara Sommer will join the board of Asana Rebel as part of the deal.
The fresh capital will be used to improve the product and strengthen customer loyalty. The company will also be recruiting to expand its team of 35 and is currently looking to hire people to join the management team.
Previous funding
HTGF led a seed financing for Asana Rebel (then Asana Yoga) in March 2016. Astutia Ventures and business angels Florian Huber, Jeanette Fürstenberg and Sebastian Johnston also invested in the round.
Prior to this investment, the company had received support from the ProSiebenSat.1 Accelerator programme.

Asana Rebel is a yoga-focused fitness application developer based in Berlin. The mobile application is available in six languages and was the most downloaded yoga application in 2017, according to a statement. The company has 150,000 paying subscribers and reports year-on-year revenue growth of 600% for 2017. It was founded in 2015 by Pascal Klein and Robin Pratap, and currently employs 35 people.
